Bhopal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is due to visit Mhow in Madhya Pradesh, the birthplace of Dr BR Ambedkar, who is regarded as the chief architect of the Indian Constitution, on his 125th birth anniversary on Thursday.

Importantly, Modi will be the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Mhow to participate in 125th birth anniversary of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.


 


 


The Madhya Pradesh government has organised a mega-convention - Ambedkar Mahakumbh - in Mhow to mark the occasion.


As per reports, PM Modi will pay homage to Dr Ambedkar and address a big gathering of his followers, who will participate from across the country.


PM Modi this morning paid homage to 'Bharat Ratna' Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar on his 125th birth anniversary.


Hailing him as a 'Vishwa Manav', PM Modi said ''Dr Ambedkar devoted his life in service of the poor and the marginalised.''


"On his Jayanti, I bow to the venerable Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar. Jai Bhim.," Prime Minister Modi tweeted.


The Prime Minister also said that Dr Ambedkar always believed in the power of education.
