Mumbai: At least five people were killed and several others were injured on Saturday when a section of a two-storey building collapsed in Kamathipura area of Mumbai.

Rescue teams quickly moved to the site to retrieve those trapped under the debris, ANI reported.


At least eight people were pulled out of the debris while four injured people were shifted to the city's JJ Hospital for treatment.


Many people had found themselves trapped in the mangled remains of the structure after a section of the building collapsed.


Mumbai's chief fire officer P S  Rahangdale has confirmed that at least five were killed and several injured.
