New Delhi: Against the backdrop of AAP`s stunning victory, senior Congress leader and Union Minister Salman Khurshid on Friday said a "revolution of sorts" had taken place in Delhi which indicated that traditional parties need to go to the grassroot level. "There is a revolution of sorts that took place in Delhi because people said that institutional form of politics is inadequate...We have to go to another level which is the grassroot level..," Khurshid said here.
His comments at a conclave on `1 World -- Role of India, China and USA in fostering it` came against the backdrop of AAP`s spectacular performance in Delhi polls where the one-year old party bagged 28 out of 70 seats formed the government last week with the help of Congress.
Giving a lighter twist to his comments, Khurshid said nowadays, "We can`t even say in a normal conversation that "Aap kaise hai? (How are you?) because somebody will think that I was enquiring about the Delhi government".
He also quipped that what was happening in our country at present is that the word "Modi is becoming very AAM in the country".
Terming corruption as a big challenge, Khurshid said that it is the most common thing which people are fighting now.
"People are fighting all kinds of terrible forces in the world. The most common thing which people are fighting is corruption...People assume that corruption is about taking money or give somebody his or her entitlement..Corruption is more than that..Corruption is not treating a human being as a human being..."he added.
