Sunanda Pushkar death case: We need to fight on, says Shobhaa De
Author and socialite Shobhaa De said on Thursday that the fight must go on in order to get justice to Sunanda Pushkar.

New Delhi: Author and socialite Shobhaa De said on Thursday that the fight must go on in order to get justice for Sunanda Pushkar, wife of Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, who was found dead in mysterious circumstances in a Delhi hotel in January this year.
De posted on the micro-blogging site Twitter - “Justice for Sunanda. We need to keep up the pressure and fight on.”
However, the premier health institute denied his claim and said that there was no merit in what Dr Gupta had said.
In a press conference yesterday, AIIMS spokespersons Amit Gupta and Neerja Bhatla had said that there was no evidence that any pressure from outside was put on Dr Gupta to alter the autopsy report.
But the doctor stuck to his stand today and said, “I stand by what I said. How do they know there is no pressure on me? Who were they to clarify that there is no pressure on me? What was the hurry to call a press conference?,” he said, as per PTI.
A day after her Twitter spat with Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar, who she allegedly suspected of having an affair with Tharoor, Sunanda, 52 was found dead in a 5-star hotel in South Delhi.
The autopsy report had mentioned more than a dozen injury marks on Sunanda`s both hands and an abrasion on her cheek which suggests a "use of blunt force", besides a "deep teeth bite" on the edge of her left palm.
Viscera samples were preserved after the autopsy at AIIMS and were sent to CFSL for further tests.
The CFSL report hinted at drug poisoning but its findings were not conclusive enough to file an FIR in the case, according to police.
Meanwhile, Tharoor once again today refused to comment on the controversial claims by the AIIMS doctor and merely said that it was up to the investigators `to sort it out`. “It is a process, we will leave it to investigators to sort out,” Tharoor told reporters.
He had yesterday too refused to comment on the sensitive matter.
On the other hand, Delhi Police Commissioner BS Bassi today said that they want that investigations in the case should be completed as soon as possible while reiterating that if needed they will examine Tharoor and Dr Gupta.
