Washington: Spotify is launching a video streaming service that will be available on Android beginning this week, says a report.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the Swedish music-streaming service will roll out video streaming to users in the US, UK, Germany and Sweden first on its Android app starting this week, then on iOS devices by the end of the week.


Videos are expected to come from content providers such as ESPN, Comedy Central, the BBC, Vice Media and Maker Studios.


The company has been gradually testing video on its apps over the past several months.
