Facebook owned messaging service WhatsApp has announced a new update, supporting text in Bold and Italics.


The users would be able to find the latest update in the chat window soon.


It is said that these features can be spotted with WhatsApp version 2.12.535.


Based in Mountain View, California, WhatsApp Messenger is a proprietary cross-platform instant messaging client for smartphones. It uses the Internet to send text messages, documents, images, video, user location and audio media messages to other users using standard cellular mobile numbers.


WhatsApp is one of the most highly used instant messaging app that was acquired by Facebook Inc. on February 19, 2014, for approximately USD 19.3 billion.


As of February 2016, WhatsApp had a user base of up to one billion, making it the globe's most popular messaging application.
