Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy was given additional charge of Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday.

Tathagata Roy will hold charge in the absence of J.P. Rajkhowa, who is on leave, a statement released by Rashtrapati Bhavan here said.


"The President of India has been pleased to appoint Tathagata Roy, Governor of Tripura, to discharge the functions of the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, in addition to his own duties, during the absence, on leave, of Shri J.P. Rajkhowa, Governor of Arunachal Pradesh," said Venu Rajamony, Press Secretary to the President in a statement.
