"I stand by what I said. Rapes happen daily in Delhi's Jawaharlal Nehru University. The campus is hub of criminal activities," BJP Rajasthan MLA Gyandev Ahuja told ANI today.

The controversial minister however, did not stop here and made some highly objectionable remarks against the Nehru-Gandhi family. "The statues of members of Nehru-Gandhi family should be brought down, then people will spit on them," ANI quoted the BJP legislator from Alwar's Ramgarh as saying.

This is not the first time Ahuja has targetted the Gandhi-Nehru family in his speech. In the past, Ahuja attributed the growing instances of rapes in India to the Nehru, Gandhi family and blamed them for all evils in the country.
