Jodhpur: In a crackdown on flesh trade in the city, police today arrested six women and three men from different houses in Ghaas Mandi area.

 The raid was conducted following repeated complaints about sex trade in the area, police said.


 Additional DCP (East) Kailash Sandu, five teams of police conducted raids in the afternoon and arrested six women from two houses for allegedly being involved in sex trade.


 "We also arrested three men, who were believed to be customers," said the official.


 All the women belonged to Kotkhavda of Jaipur and have been living here for years, he said.


 Two of the women nabbed today had also been caught during an earlier raid in February. The duo got involved in flesh trade again after getting bail, Sandhu said.


 Two week ago, two Delhi-based girls were arrested from a community guest house for their alleged involvement in prostitution.
