Pakistan executes four terrorists for attack on Army school
Four terrorists were executed in Pakistan for their involvement in last year`s Army Public School attack in Peshawar, a media report said on Tuesday.
Islamabad: Four terrorists were executed in Pakistan for their involvement in last year's Army Public School attack in Peshawar, a media report said on Tuesday.
Terrorists Noor Saeed, Murad Khan, Innayatullah and Israruddin were executed in Kohat central jail for their involvement in December 16, 2014, school attack that left at least 150 people, mostly children, dead, The News International quoted an official as saying.
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan militant group was responsible for the carnage at the Army Public School in Peshawar, the provincial capital of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif signed the death warrants of the terrorists who were convicted for "slaughtering, suicide bombing, abduction for ransom and funding terrorists organisations", an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said.
Earlier this month, four terrorists involved in the school attack were hanged at a civil jail here.
In wake of the APS carnage, military courts were set up to try terrorists under National Action Plan (NAP) which was approved by all the political parties of Pakistan against terrorism.
A total of 637 terrorists have been killed and 710 arrested after the Pakistani authorities launched the National Action Plan.
