Washington: The Mars One colonization project is planning to broadcast live video from Red Planet`s surface to Earth via a privately built communications satellite and lander to launch as part of an unmanned mission to Mars in 2018.
Mars One co-founder and CEO Bas Lansdorp said that when they land on Mars, they will have the most unique video footage in the solar system, asserting that anyone with Internet access would be able to see what the weather`s like on Mars, Fox News reported. Lansdorp said that public engagement is the driving force behind Mars One that is aiming to land humans on Mars by 2025. The Netherlands-based nonprofit said that it is planning to finance the settlement mission in part through a reality TV show, for which the live video feed is going to be crucial.
