"Everyone wants envelops (of money). No one wants to work. Wrong and overvalued estimates are being prepared (by engineers and bureaucrats). Now no amended estimates will be allowed," Yadav said while talking to reporters here.

The state Public Works Department (PWD) Minister advised the officials to work hard and to ensure timely completion of projects.

On the occasion Yadav charged the Centre with meting out step-motherly treatment to UP despite the Prime Minister and the Home Minister representing the state in Parliament.

"The Prime Minister and Union Home Minister are from Uttar Pradesh. But you all know what we are getting," he said and alleged that several projects in the state were getting affected because of non-release of central funds.
