DNA: Juvenile Justice Bill finally passed in Rajya Sabha after a heated debate

The Rajya Sabha on Tuesday passed the Juvenile Justice Bill, which will ensure that from now on 16-year-olds involved in heinous crimes will be prosecuted as adults.The bill was taken up against the backdrop of uproar over the release of a juvenile convict in the heinous gang-rape and murder of a 23-year-old girl on December 16, 2012."I am satisfied, but sad that my daughter couldn't get justice," Nirbhaya's mother said after passage of the Bill.
