The order was passed by a bench of Chief Justice Manjula Chellur and Justice A Banerjee.

The court was hearing PILs that sought an independent investigation into the sting tapes.

Many Trinamool Congress (TMC) leaders were seen taking bribes in the sting tapes.

TMC has rejected the tapes calling the doctored. However, it has opposed the demand for scientific tests on the tapes released in March.
