Beijing: A newborn baby was rescued by the Chinese firefighter from a sewage pipe after he was flushed down the toilet, according to BBC.
The resident of an apartment called the firefighters after they heard the cries of the baby.
The firefighters failed to take the newborn out in the first attempt and ended up cutting the section of the sewage pipe in which the baby was stuck. The pipe was then taken to the hospital where it was carefully opened to release the baby. The infant is in stable condition and a lookout for his parents is on. The incident raised anger against the parents who did the horrific act.
