North Korea releases video showing crime which US student committed - Must Watch
North Korea has released security camera footage of American student Otto Warmbier committing the crime that got him 15 years of imprisonment and hard labour.
Seoul: North Korea`s supreme court sentenced American student Otto Warmbier, who was arrested while visiting the country, to 15 years of hard labour on Wednesday for crimes against the state.
Amid criticism for the decision, North Korea on Thursday released a security camera footage showing Warmbier committing the crime.
In the grainy video, the 21-year-old University of Virginia student is seen removing a propaganda banner from a staff-only section of the Yanggakdo International Hotel in Pyongyang, where he was staying over the New Year.
The US State Department has called the sentence "unduly harsh".
