Cairo: At least one person was killed on Monday when a bomb exploded at the High Court building in Egypt`s capital city of Cairo.

The area surrounding the building, which houses the General Prosecutor`s office and houses the headquarters of some of the country’s most senior courts, is currently being searched by explosives experts, state-run Al Ahram online reported.


The explosion took place in downtown Cairo`s crowded Ramses Street.


A probe has been launched into the blast.
