Moscow: After France was jolted by multiple terror attacks on Friday, Russians have something to worry about and need to beef up their internal security as Islamic State may plan to carry out similar attacks in Kremlin.

According to a report in the Independent, Islamic State has released a video threatening to carry out attacks on Russia in near future.


“The kafir throats will tremble from the knives. The Kremlin will be ours,” the Independent report quoted the content of the video.

The video was issued on Thursday afternoon and came in wake of apparent response to Russia's involvment in the fight against ISIS.


President Vladimir Putin, who calls Syrian President Bashar al Assad his ally, had announced fight against Islamic State.


Western intelligence officials suspect the ultra-hardline Sunni group of planting a bomb in a Russian passenger plane which crashed in Egypt's Sinai Peninsula on Oct. 31, killing all 224 passengers and crew.


Islamic State militants fighting Egyptian security forces in Sinai said they brought down the plane which was taking Russian tourists back home from the Egyptian tourist resort of Sharm al-Sheikh.

Russia's security agencies will undoubtedly look into a video, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday.


Islamic State on Saturday claimed responsibility for a coordinated assault by gunmen and bombers that killed 127 people at locations across Paris on Friday.
