Seven killed in road accident in China

Beijing: Seven persons were killed and four others injured after a truck overturned and squashed a tricycle with 11 farmers aboard in China.

The white sugar-loaded truck rolled over and crushed the tricycle yesterday on a rural road in Xingbin District, Laibin City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the city government said today.

Two farmers were thrown out of the tricycle while nine others were trapped. Seven of them died later in hospital. Two seriously injured passengers are in stable condition and another two suffered minor injuries.
