Terror strikes France: What happened in Paris on Friday evening
Gun and suicide bomb attacks took place at the Bataclan concert venue, located at 50 boulevard Voltaire in 11th district.
Paris: Over 150 people have been killed in a string of terror attacks that shook the French capital Paris on Friday evening. Here is what happened yesterday:
Gun and suicide bomb attacks took place at the Bataclan concert venue, located at 50 boulevard Voltaire in 11th district. Californian rock group Eagles of Death Metal was playing at the venue when the attacks happened. Majority of deaths - over 100 - took place here.
Explosions happened outside the Stade de France, located at St Denis, just north of Paris. France and Germany were playing a football friendly when the suicide blasts took place. In attendance was French President Francois Hollande and German Foreign Minister. Both are safe. Over 20 people were killed here.
Gun attack took place at Le Carillon bar, at 18 rue Alibert in the 10th district. The bar in located not far from the Place de la Republique.
Another gun attack took place at Le Petit Cambodge restaurant, located across the street at 20 rue Alibert, 10th district.
The other two gun attacks took place at La Belle Equipe, 92 rue de Charonne, 11th district, and La Casa Nostra restaurant, rue de la Fontaine au roi, 11th district.
