New Delhi: Over the last two-three years, the Islamic State - or the ISIS/ISIL - has emerged as the deadliest of terror groups and has even overshadowed al Qaeda, which shook America in September 2001.

Many have wondered how could a terror group rise so suddenly and spread its wings almost across the entire globe.
