He also came down heavily on NDPP Chief Ministerial candidate Neiphiu Rio.

"The manifesto of NDPP is T.R. Zeliang as Rio has been talking only about me and nothing more during his entire campaign across the State," Zeliang said addressing series of election rallies at Mon, Longwa and Aboi under Mon district ahead of the February 27 assembly poll.

Dubbing the NDPP, which has stitched an alliance with the BJP, as "unrecognized village" with a "global symbol" and a "nationalist name", Zeliang, who is the Naga People`s Front (NPF) Chief Ministerial candidate, said that the newly-floated party was least bothered about the Nagas.A

While stating that Rio during his Chief Ministership for 11 years, declared International Trade Centres in Longwa, Pangsha, Avangkhu "without any road connectivity", he compared it to a "dried up river where the people of Mon District were sent for fishing".

On corruption during Rio`s tenure as Chief Minister, Zeliang claimed that it was Rio who had "landed the state in a deficit of Rs 1,234 crore after which he left for Delhi".
