As per reports, the incident took place on Wednesday when the accused, Sanjukta Majhi, of Amantpur Project Upper Primary School in Angul district of the state, made few students wash her two-wheeler.

In the video, the teacher is seen standing with a stick whereas three students are seen washing the vehicle.

Surprisingly, when an Odisha TV reporter spotted the students cleaning the vehicle and questioned the teacher, Majhi fearlessly came out in her defence and said that the students volunteered to do the cleaning.

She backed her statement saying that 'this is Guru Seva'.

When the reporter questioned her further "when will the kids study if they are being made to wash scooter", the teacher replied that "she will teach them later".

After the video was made public, the district education department ordered the block education officer to take action against her. She was suspended from her post on Thursday.
