Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has tweeted an apology over his earlier post on the microblogging site Twitter congratulating the Indian women’s cricket team over their historic victory against South Africa.

In his congratulatory tweet, the actor had mentioned that the Indian team defeated Australia in Twenty-20s and One Day Internationals.


He had tweeted, “YEEEAAHHH !! CONGRATULATIONS  Indian Women's Cricket Team Historic Series win against Australia in T20 and ODI games .. terrific character, batting and fielding .. that catch by Jemimah on the boundary, OUTSTANDING !! you make us PROUD”



Apologising for the error, Big B later tweeted, “Apologies .. that should read South Africa NOT Australia.”

One tweet of Big B had captured a lot of eyeballs when reports of India's first female superstar Sridevi's death came in recently. Much before the news of Sridevi's death, Big B posted a tweet saying he was feeling uneasy, suggesting he had premonition about this shock hitting the film industry and lakhs of Sridevi's fans across the globe.
