New Delhi: Ahead of its big screen release on June 29, 2018, makers of 'Sanju' seem to be hit by an unseen trouble. A complaint has been filed against lead actor Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma for allegedly making derogatory remarks against sex workers in the film.

ANI tweeted the same on their official Twitter handle.

According to PTI, the National Commission of Women has received a complaint against the two actors and director Rajkumar Hirani as well. "We have received such a complaint and we are forwarding it to the Electronic Media Monitoring Centre to take necessary action," NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma told PTI.

It is over a particular dialogue where Ranbir, who plays Sanjay Dutt in the film can be heard saying that he has slept with over 300 women and asks Anushka should I include prostitutes as well?

The EMMC under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has been tasked to monitor the content of television channels and report on violations of the programme and advertising code.
The complaint filed by advocate and social activist Gaurav Gulati was referred to two dialogues where Kapoor allegedly "demeans the status of sex workers in the society."

'Sanju' has an ensemble star cast with the likes of Ranbir playing the titular role of Dutt. It stars Sonam Kapoor, Dia Mirza, Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Anushka Sharma, Karishma Tanna, Jim Sarbh to name a few.

Expectations are high from this one as Ranbir has put in a lot of hard work to completely transform himself into looking like the real-life Dutt. The teaser has received a positive response and now all eyes set for the big release.
