New Delhi: Bollywood veteran Dilip Kumar on Sunday celebrated his 94th birthday at Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai. The tragedy king of Hindi cinema recently shared a photo on Twitter where he can be seen cutting the cake with Saira Banu.

"Your love and affection has been so enduring and so touching, your  heartfelt messages on this medium brought tears to my eyes," the mighty Thespian posted online.


He also thanked his fans for extending their warm wishes on this special day.


Last week, Dilip was admitted to the hospital due to swelling in one of his legs.


'Devdas', 'Mughal-e-Azam', 'Ganga Jamuna', 'Kranti' and 'Saudagar' are named among his greatest on-screen works. Dilip was awarded Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015.



He was last seen on the silver screen in 'Qila' in 1998.
