New Delhi: Karan Johar is missing his maternal uncle Yash Chopra and the filmmaker took to his official Instagram account to express his feelings. He posted a picture of his uncle, captioning it as, "Miss you so much uncle Y!!!!"

Not many that Karan marked his acting debut with Yash Chopra's iconic film titled 'Dilwale Dhulania Le Jayenge'. In fact, he has always been very fond of the ace filmmaker. 


Yash Chopra began his career as an assistant director to IS Johar and brother BR Chopra. He made his directorial debut with 'Dhool Ka Phool' in 1959. In a five-decade-long unrivaled career, Yash Chopra made 21 films altogether, most of which turned out to be blockbuster and still remains favourites of many. 


Shah Rukh Khan's 'Jab Tak Hai Jaan' was his last directorial venture. Some of the iconic films and masterpieces of Yash Chopra are 'Veer Zara', 'Dil To Pagal Hai', 'Trishul', 'Hum Tum', 'Chandni', 'Deewar' among others.
