Jawa has launched an updated version of its popular motorcycle forty-two.
The 2021 Jawa forty-two gets cosmetic updates along with new paint scheme and host of new features.
The bike comes in three new shades: Sirius White, All-star Black and Orion Red.
The bike has been launched at Rs. 1.84 lakh (ex-showroom) in Indian markets.
Jawa will sell updated model with BS6 model
The new bike will be sold along with the regular forty-two model.
The new bike gets alloy wheels in contrast to spoked wheels from the previous model. The tyres are tubeless.
The wheelbase stands at 1369mm and the bike gets black treatment on alloys, engine and over regular chrome parts. The bike gets a fat racing stripe which bears the name Classic legend.
The bar end mirror comes as a standard fitment with the bike.
The bike has lost 1 kg of weight
Jawa has given the bike new set of switches which makes the riding experience a bit efficient.
The bike also gets a couple of trip meters.
Jawa has claimed to strengthen the chassis at a strategic position. The bike has lost 1 kg of weight thanks to the repositioning of the catalytic converter.
The bike gets 293cc, single-cylinder, four-valve liquid-cooled engined which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine produces 27 bhp of power and 27Nm of peak torque
Jawa has updated seat for better support
The bike gets disc brakes at front and rear and also gets dual-channel Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
The bike gets double-cradle chassis and telescopic fork at the front whereas twin shock absorber at the rear.
Front tyre is 90/90-18 and the rear tyre is 120/80-17. The front disc is 280mm disc and rear get 240mm disc brakes.
Jawa has listened to the customers and has modified the seat as well using high-density foam. The seat height is 765mm.
Jawa forty-two bookings has started
The small changes all over have made Jawa forty-two a sweeter deal. The deliveries of the bike will take some time, bookings are open.
The motorcycle is Rs. 4,000 costlier than the existing bike.
This bike is priced at Rs. 1,83,943 (ex-showroom)
