Monaco is a sovereign microstate situated on the French Riviera in Western Europe, with an area of just 2.08 square kilometers. Despite its high population density, Monaco does not have its own airport. Instead, it features a heliport in the Fontvieille district. Vatican City, the world’s smallest country, is located within Rome, Italy. It lacks an airport but has a heliport for small aircraft. The closest airport is Rome-Ciampino, roughly 34 kilometers from Vatican City.
