Has Musk ever made you think of a favourite movie character? If so, it is not by chance.

Director of Iron Man John Favreau earlier disclosed that he sought advice from Musk to understand the demeanour of a tech mogul-billionaire.

 

Musk is well known for his position as Tesla's CEO. After removing the previous CEO, Martin Eberhard, he took over as the company's CEO in 2007.

One of the most valuable corporations in the world, Tesla has a current market value of nearly $700 billion. Do you know that in 2013, Musk came close to selling it to Google for $11 billion?

 

Musk co-founded the financial services company X.com, subsequently known as PayPal, with the help of some of the money he received from the sale of Zip2.

Musk gained $180 million after PayPal was purchased by eBay in 2022 for $1.5 billion.

He founded SpaceX with $100 million of this money. The current market value of the space exploration corporation is $125 billion.

 

Musk co-founded Zip2, an online substitute for the yellow pages, in 1995 with the intention of profiting from the internet's growth. The business was founded with borrowed money.

In 1999, Compaq Computer Corporation purchased the business from Musk and his brother Kimbal for $307 million. As compensation for his 7% share, he earned $22 million.

 

Musk's aptitude for business was apparent even as a young child. He created and sold a $500 programming code for the video game "Blastar" when he was 12 years old.

He also brought his passion for making money to the University of Pennsylvania. In order to pay his rent, Musk and a friend opened a nightclub with a $5 entrance fee.

 

With Justine Wilson, with whom he has five children, Musk tied the knot for the first time in 2000.Actress Talulah Riley was his wife from 2010 until their divorce in 2012. They divorced in 2016, having remarried in 2013.

Musk dated Amber Heard in the past. He revealed his relationship with Canadian artist Grimes in 2018. Although they are no longer together, they have a son and a daughter.

 

Elon Musk was born in Pretoria and spent the majority of his formative years there. He departed for Canada in 1988, spurred on by apartheid and motivated by the US. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with bachelor's degrees in both physics and economics in 1997.

Musk enrolled in Stanford University at the age of 24 but dropped out after just two days to join the internet boom.
