Jaguar Land Rover launches most powerful Defender SUV in India: Price, specs and features

Jaguar Land Rover’s Defender SUV features an exclusive body colour named Carpathian Grey. The SUV also sports a satin protective film. At the bottom of the front door, you can clearly see the V8 logo that makes it more unique than other Defender SUVs in the range. 

One can also easily the Defender SUV from the twin tailpipes and steering wheel wrapped with Alcantara. On the dashboard is a new 11.4-inch touchscreen that gives a premium look to the luxury SUV. 

The newly launched SUV has been launched in both the standard and Carpathian Edition variants that are also available with other Defender SUV range. The car has also been launched in both 3-door and 5-door variants.    

The V8-powered model of the Defender lineup is launched at a starting price of Rs 1.82 crore (ex-showroom) in India. 

The engine is the major factor that differentiates the newly launched car from other SUVs in the range. The four-wheeler is powered by Jaguar Land Rover Group’s most powerful engine, the V8. 

The firm claims that the engine can churn out a maximum power of 525 hp and a peak torque of 625 Nm. Defender SUV’s engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.  

The Defender SUV is real fast, as the four-wheeler can notch from zero to 100 kmph in just 5.2 seconds. The car can also touch a maximum speed of 240 kmph.
