Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS6 launched in India at Rs. 3.18 lakh

Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Kawasaki has finally launched its much-awaited Ninja 300 BS6 in India. Kawasaki ninja 300 BS6 is the most affordable bike for the company in India. 

Kawasaki was supposed to launch the Ninja 300 BS6 version by mid- 2020. The launch was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

Kawasaki discontinued Ninja 300 BS4 version in December 2019. The BS6 version is priced at Rs. 3.18 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The bike carries Rs. 20,000 heftier price tag in comparison with the BS4 version. 

Just like the other machines in the Ninja series, it features a sporty mass forward, minimalist-tail design. From its aggressive dual headlights to its screen and wheels, the Ninja 300 shares numerous styling cues and design elements from other machines in the Ninja family.

One look tells you that this bike is pure Ninja! The Ninja 300 uses a floating-style windscreen with a gap between the cowl and the windscreen. Mounting the screen using only the bolts from the mirror stays contributes to a very clean and elegant design.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS6 is powered by the previous 296cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled petrol engine which churns out 38.4 bhp and a peak torque of 27Nm.

The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and also comes with an assist and slipper clutch as a standard fitment.

Fine design and large ventilation holes in the fairing have a design similar to that of the Ninja ZX14R. The design contributes to the Ninja 300's excellent heat management.

Aggressive dual headlamp design contributes to the strong Ninja supersport image. The multi-reflector headlamps also offer superb illumination for riding at night. Built-in front turn signals have a sleeker, more unitised appearance.

Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS6 gets three new paint schemes which include Lime Green, Candy Lime Green and Ebony. 

The bike stays mostly the same with an updated powertrain in compliance with the BS6 emissions. 

Kawasaki Ninja 300 has a very subtle and timeless design that refuses to age. 

Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS6 gets a diamond frame that features high-tensile steel components (known as special steels which develop high yield, tensile and fatigue strengths, as well as excellent toughness), which offers high strength and high durability – both essential in a high-performance frame.

The bike also gets a large-diameter 290 mm front petal disc brake operated by a 2-piston calliper that delivers powerful braking and a natural feel at the lever. 220 mm rear petal disc and 2-piston calliper give dependable stopping power. Petal brake discs like those on the larger-displacement Ninja supersport models offer excellent heat dissipation
