Mahindra XUV700 launch tomorrow: Check specs, expected price and booking details

Mahindra XUV700 will rival against the likes of the newly launched Hyundai Alcazar as well as the MG Hector Plus and Tata Safari in India’s premium 7-seater SUV automobile segment. However, the upcoming SUV is expected to be the most powerful SUV among all the cars currently selling in the category. 

Mahindra XUV700 is expected to launch in two variants depending on the fuel type. The petrol variant of the SUV will be powered by a 2.0L turbocharged engine capable of churning out a peak power of 200bhp. 

 

On the other hand, the diesel variant of the Mahindra XUV700 is expected to sport a 2.2L turbocharged mHawk motor which is said to be capable of generating maximum power of 185bhp. 

Mahindra XUV700 will sport several features that are said to be the best in the segment. For instance, the SUV will come with a panoramic sunroof named Skyroof that is said to be the largest in the segment. 

 

Some of the new-age features such as support for AdrenoX voice and Alexa voice commands. The SUV will also come with features such as dual-screen setup, driver drowsiness detection, and auto booster headlamps, among others. 

Soon after the unveiling of the Mahindra XUV700, the homegrown automaker is expected to announce the booking details of the SUV. However, reports suggest that bookings are likely to start from September or early October.

Mahindra XUV700 could be launched at a starting price of Rs 16 lakh for the base variant while the high-end model could be priced at about Rs 22 lakhs.
