United States has topped the WGC estimate of having the highest gold reserves at 8,133.46 tonnes in 2023

Germany ranks second with 3,352.65 tonnes of gold reserves

Italy ranks third with 2,451.84 tonnes of gold reserves

France holds the fourth position of holding 2,436.88 tonnes of gold reserves

Russia ranks fifth with 2,332.74 tonnes of gold reserves

China is at number six position with 2,191.53 tonnes of gold reserves

Switzerland ranks seventh with 1,040.00 tonnes of gold reserves

Japan is at number eighth position with 845.97 tonnes of gold reserves.

India has ranked ninth position in terms of gold reserves with holdings over 800 tonnes in 2023. India's central bank has surpassed the central banks of the Netherlands, Turkey, the UK, and Saudi Arabia in terms of gold reserves lately.
