WhatsApp introduces Communities: 5 new features will improve the way we communicate on the platform

WhatsApp will now allow users to create communities on the platform. Under the Communities section, all groups representing a set of communities like schools, residential societies, and friends at various places can be organised, according to a report by PTI.

WhatsApp Group administrators will now be able to delete messages posted by any participants anytime. Once deleted, the conversation will not be visible to any group members. 

WhatsApp will now allow 32 people in a group voice call. Currently, only a maximum of five people can join a video call on the social media platform.

WhatsApp users will now be able to share larger files with sizes of up to 2 gigabytes on the messaging platform, up from the current cap of 1 gigabyte. “We’re increasing file sharing to support files up to 2 gigabytes so people can easily collaborate on projects,” it said. 

WhatsApp has been testing new reactions for quite some time. The messaging platform has now decided to finally introduce the feature. “Emoji reactions are coming to WhatsApp so people can quickly share their opinion without flooding chats with new messages,” Meta said in a blog.
