On Saturday (October 2), actress Samantha Akkineni and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation on social media. Jointly, they released a statement and informed fans about their split. 

Unsurprisingly, fans are devastated by the news of their favourite couple 'ChaySam' (a name they were fondly called) breaking up.

For the unversed, the happy couple had met on the set Gautham Menon's Ye Maaya Chesave in 2010 and dated for a while. The couple tied the knot in Goa on October 6, 2017, followed by a Christian wedding on October 7, 2017, respectively.

Samantha would often post loved-up pics of her and Naga Chaitanya on social media. 

The ex-couple, it appears, was gearing up for a road trip in this picture with their pet dog.

Even though rumours of their relationship were strong on their relationship in 2015, the actress only confirmed it in 2016. However, there were no talks of marriage.

This picture from their wedding exactly shows how in love they were when they tied the knot.

The duo never shied away from expressing their love in public.

They share a cute pet dog named Hash and Samantha has shared many pictures of him on her social media.

Fans have been upset with the news of their divorce and have been commenting on their old pictures asking why they decided to separate.

In her separation statement, Samantha wrote that they want to pursue their own paths individually.

The ex-couple looked absolutely adorable together. 

In their joint note, they also requested fans to give them support and privacy so they can move on from this event.
