From 'Jhund' to 'Brahmastra', a look at Amitabh Bachchan's upcoming 5 projects lined up for release

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan shared a one-line cryptic message on his personal blog entry hinting that he is facing health issues. The actor wrote that he would be undergoing surgery due to a 'medical condition', although he didn't divulge much about it. His blog post alarmed his fan followers as they were in complete shock with the news. It remains unclear if the medical procedure is completed or not.

He is also set to appear in Ayan Mukerji's action-fantasy 'Brahmastra', alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt which is expected to be released this year. The film also stars Mouni Roy, Dimple Kapadia and Nagarjuna Akkineni in pivotal roles and will serve as the first film in a planned trilogy.

Amitabh will also be seen in 'Chehre', which will arrive in theatres on April 30, 2021. An upcoming mystery-thriller film, it also stars  Krystle D'Souza, Siddhanth Kapoor, Annu Kapoor, Dhritiman Chatterjee and Raghubir Yadav. It was initially scheduled for worldwide release in July 2020, but got delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Amitabh Bachchan may also be seen in 'Butterfly', a Kannada-language comedy-drama. It will be directed by Ramesh Aravind and produced by Ramesh Aravind. According to reports, the film is remake of the 2014 Hindi film Queen by Vikas Bahl. However, an official confirmation on the same remains awaited.
