OTT Releases In November - Devara To Citadel: Honey Bunny, A Look At Gripping Films & Shows

To all those who love watching gripping shows and movies from the comfort of their homes - OTT has been a great source of entertainment. This month brings an array of genres ranging from action to thriller and many more. Here’s a look at some of the season’s biggest cinematic and streaming releases, from epic transformations and high-stakes drama to sweeping historical sagas.

The massively popular Deadpool & Wolverine, directed by Shawn Levy, is now available for free on OTT. The Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman-starrer Marvel film has got a digital release date for India.  The action-packed film debuted in theatres worldwide on July 26, 2024. The movie will be available on Disney+ Hotstar app. The streaming version of the Marvel Studios picture will launch on November 12 in English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil languages respectively.

The spy action thriller show with an intriguing love story is set in the 90s and brings Honey Bunny, the Indian series within the Citadel universe. The star cast features Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu in lead roles with a power-packed performance from the supporting cast that includes Kay Kay Menon, Simran, Saqib Saleem, Sikandar Kher, and Soham Majumdar.

 

The series, based on the novel Sisterhood of Dune, stars Tabu. The sci-fi show is set 10,000 years before the events of Dune. The saga is filled with power struggles, profound betrayal, and the relentless quest for destiny. The official synopsis of the desert epic mentions that two Harkonnen sisters combat forces that threaten the future of humankind and establish the fabled sectors known as the Bene Gesserit.

Rajnikanth’s latest movie Vettaiyan is set to release on OTT platforms this month, almost a month after its big screen debut. The Tamil action-thriller holds the second-best opening for a Tamil film in 2024 but failed to perform as expected at the Box Office. This film brings Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan back together on the screen after 33 years, they last shared on-screen space in 1991.

Directed by Pa Ranjith, 'Thangalaan' starring Vikram in the lead role was released in theatres on August 15, and the film had a massive start at the box office. Set in the pre-independence era, the film revolves around the lives of labourers in the Kolar Gold Fields.'Thangalaan' received highly positive reviews for Chiyaan Vikram's performance and it emerged as the actor's second-grossing film at the box office following Shankar's directorial ' I '.

Koratala Siva’s Devara: Part 1 starring Man of Masses NTR Jr, Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan  released in theatres on September 27. The film tells the story of a coastal village chieftain called Devara, played by NTR Jr,  a clan leader who undergoes a moral transformation after a tragic incident. This change pits him against his close friend Bhaira, played by Saif Ali Khan, who controls the arms-smuggling routes in the region.
