Who Is Neelam Upadhyaya? Priyanka Chopra's Bhabhi Who Worked In South Films

Global icon Priyanka Chopra touched based in Mumbai a few days back to attend her brother Siddharth Chopra's registered marriage with long-time fiancé Neelam Upadhayaya. The couple shared pictures of their 'hastakshar' ceremony on Monday, August 26. But did you know Neelam - Priyanka Chopra's gorgeous sister-in-law was an actor herself and worked in a few south films? Well, today let's get to know Neelam Upadhyaya a little better: 

Neelam Upadhyaya was born in Mumbai. She has one elder brother who is married and based in India. Her brother has a son. Her sister is married to a businessman and based in Australia. Neelam worked in Tamil and Telugu films when starting her showbiz career.

In April this year, the couple's roka ceremony was held which saw Priyanka also in attendance. She even posted photos from the event on Instagram, featuring Nick and their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.

Neelam Upadhyaya first got the opportunity to act in Seivathu Sariye in 2010 but the film was subsequently shelved. She made her acting debut in the Telugu film Mr 7 in 2012. Next year, she was seen in the 3D Telugu film called Action 3D. Neelam then moved to Tamil cinema and appeared in Unnodu Oru Naal in 2013 and Om Shanthi Om in 2015 opposite Srikanth. However, the films performed below expectations at the Box Office.

In 2018, she was seen in the Telugu movie Tamasha. 

Neelam Upadhyaya and Siddharth Chopra were first clicked together at Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's grand Ganesh Chaturthi festivity back in 2019. Later, they were also seen together with Priyanka Chopra and her husband-singer Nick Jonas at the Ambani's Holi party in 2020. 

Siddharth was previously engaged to Ishita Kumar and he had also dated Kanika Mathur earlier, reportedly.

Priyanka and Siddharth's parents Late Dr Ashok Chopra, and mother, Madhu Chopra both served as physicians in the Indian Army. Priyanka is married to the American singer-actor Nick Jonas. The couple has a two-year-old daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
