Hundred centrally-protected monuments, including UNESCO world heritage sites spread across the country, have been illuminated as India assumed the presidency of G20. The Archaeological Survey of India had said these 100 ASI sites will be lit up from December 1-7, and that all illuminated heritage structures "highlight the G-20 logo over the monument".
Red Fort and Humayun's Tomb in Delhi, Charminar in Telangana, and Elephanta Caves in Maharashtra are among these 100 sites.
Nalanda Mahavihara, Bihar
India assumed the yearlong presidency of G20 on December 1. More than 200 meetings will be held in India across 55 locations.
Virupaksha Temple, Hampi, Karnataka
ASI monuments that have lit up on the occasion, bearing the G20 logo, also include Virupaksha Temple in Karnataka's Hampi.
Red Fort, New Delhi
In Delhi, the G20 logo has been projected on the Red Fort.
Qutub Minar, New Delhi
The G20 logo has also been projected on the Qutub Minar in Delhi.
Old Fort, New Delhi
In Delhi, the G20 logo has also been projected on Purana Qila (Ola Fort), among other sites.
Humayun's Tomb, New Delhi

Fatehpur Sikri, Uttar Pradesh

In Delhi, the G20 logo has also been projected on the central dome of the Safdarjung Tomb, among other sites.
Other ASI monuments that have lit up on the occasion, bearing the G20 logo, are Nalanda university ruins and Rajgir in Bihar; Thanjavur Big Temple in Tamil Nadu's Thanjavur; Metcalfe Hall in West Bengal's Kolkata, Old High Court Building in Maharashtra's Nagpur, Basilica of Bom Jesus and Church of Lady of Rosary in Goa, Tipu Sultan's Palace and the Gol Gumbaz in Karnataka, and Sanchi Buddhist monuments and Gwalior Fort in Madhya Pradesh.
