Delhi Unlock 2.0: No visitors allowed inside religious places

Delhi, which was put under a complete lockdown on April 19, has now started to gradually reopen in a phased manner.

 

The step has been taken in view of the significant drop in COVID-19 cases in the national capital, which, on Saturday, recorded 66 new infections and two deaths.  Delhi currently has 579 active coronavirus cases.

 

Below are the activities that are permitted or are still prohibited.

Cinema halls, theatres and multiplexes can now reopen in the national capital with 50 per cent capacity.

 

Delhi Metro and public buses can now ply with full seating capacity. However, no standing passengers will be allowed.

Spas in Delhi have now been allowed to reopen, but with certain conditions. All employees have to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or undergo an RT-PCR test every fortnight.

The number of guests at weddings has been permitted with a ceiling of 100 guests with strict adherence to COVID appropriate behaviour. 

 

Funeral and last rites related gatherings are now also permitted with a ceiling of 100 people.

All malls, markets and market complexes can continue functioning between 10 AM and 8 PM. Restaurants (8 AM to 10 PM) and bars (12 PM to 10 PM) will remain open with 50 per cent capacity.

 

Public transport such as autos, e-rickshaws, taxis, cabs, gramin sewa and phat phat sewa are allowed to operate with up to two passengers. Public transport such as Maxi cab allowed to operate with up to five passengers.

 

All schools, colleges, educational and coaching institutions will remain shut.

 

Even though the religious places have reopened, no visitors have been permitted to enter.

 

All social, political, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious, festival related gatherings and congregations will remain prohibited.
