From Military Roots to IAS: Chandrajyoti Singh, the Glamorous Officer Who Cracked UPSC in Just One Year - PICS

Chandrajyoti Singh has achieved remarkable success in a short span of time. Growing up in a family with strong military roots, she drew inspiration from her parents' dedication to the nation. With just one year of intense preparation, Chandrajyoti cracked the highly competitive UPSC exam in 2019, securing an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 28 at the age of 22. 

 

Her father was an army radiologist, and her mother was a lieutenant colonel. She lived in different states because of her parents' postings.

 

Scored a perfect 10 CGPA in her 10th-grade exams. She achieved 95.4% in her 12th-grade exams.

 

She graduated from St. Stephen's College in Delhi and earned a 7.75 CGPA in college.

 

She took a year off after college to prepare for the UPSC exam and cracked the UPSC exam in 2019 with AIR 28 at the age of 22.

 

She spent 1-2 hours each day reading newspapers and created her own notes to help with studying.
