BJP to hold crucial national executive meeting

A crucial meeting of the BJP’s National Executive members will be held on Sunday (November 7) which is expected to deliberate on the outcome of the recent poll results and the strategy for the upcoming assembly elections in five states early next year.

Iraq PM escapes unhurt after drone laden with explosives targets his residence

A drone laden with explosives targeted the residence of Iraqi PM Mustafa al-Kadhimi in Baghdad early on Sunday in what the Iraqi military called an attempted assassination, but said the Prime Minister escaped unhurt.

A Mumbai-based businessman claimed on Saturday that he was privy to how actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan was 'framed up' in the NCB's alleged drug bust on a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast.

 

Vijay Pagare said that Aryan, who got bail from the high court after spending three weeks in prison following his arrest on October 3, was implicated by some people to make money. Tripura slaps UAPA on 102 social handles, sends notices to Twitter, FB, YouTube

Tripura police on Saturday booked 102 social media account holders under the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), criminal conspiracy and forgery charges and served notices to the authorities of Twitter, Facebook and YouTube to freeze their accounts and inform all particulars of those persons to it, a senior police official said.

 

This comes on the heels of Tripura Police registering a case against four Supreme Court lawyers under the stringent act and various sections of the IPC for allegedly promoting communal disharmony with their social media posts on the recent violence targeting Muslims, a senior official said.
