India's batting legend Sachin Tendulkar is among the 50 most influential people on Twitter this year, placed at No. 35, according to an annual research carried out by consumer intelligence company Brandwatch. The former India captain is ranked above the likes of American actors Dwayne Johnson and Leonardo Di Caprio, and former first lady of the United States Michelle Obama among others.
Not much of a respite from bad air for Delhi-NCR
Delhi's air quality index (AQI) remained in the 'very poor' category for the second consecutive day on Wednesday (November 10, 2021). According to the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR), the national capital's overall AQI was at 382 at 6:45 AM. However, in some areas, the air quality continued to remain in the 'severe' category.
France makes Covid booster shot mandatory for those above 65
French President Emmanuel Macron has issued a mass appeal for people to get booster shots to fight rising virus infections that are raising concerns across Europe. Anyone over 65 who was vaccinated more than six months ago will need to get a booster shot by mid-December for their "health pass" to remain valid, Macron said on Tuesday.
1 year of agitation: Farmers to hold daily tractor march to Parliament
Samyukta Kisan Morcha, the apex body of farmers, has announced that nearly 500 farmers will participate in a peaceful tractor march to Parliament every day during the Winter Session starting November 29. The daily march to Parliament has been announced to mark the completion of one year of farmers’ agitation against the Centre’s three farm laws.
