Here's a list of states re-imposing lockdowns, curfews till April 30 as India's COVID-19 tally breaches 1.8-crore mark
In light of the rapidly increasing number of COVID-19 cases, several states have taken strict measures to curb the spread of the disease. From night curfews to weekend lockdowns to even monitoring the opening and closing of ration shops to stop the COVID-19 infection from spreading.
Bihar night curfew
The Bihar government announced new COVID-19 restrictions. As per the new orders, shops/commercial establishments will close at 4 pm daily while the timing of the night curfew will now be from 6 pm to 6 am.
Telangana night curfew
In light of the rapidly increasing number of COVID-19 cases, several states have taken strict measures to curb the spread of the disease. In Telangana, a night curfew will be in force from 9 pm to 5 am till April 30. All the offices, firms, shops, establishments, restaurants and others should be closed at 8 pm.
Madhya Pradesh extends curfew
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan asked people to stay indoors till April 30 to break the chain of rising COVID-19 infection.
Goa lockdown
Goa govt imposes lockdown till early Monday (May 3) morning. Staggered timings, 50% staff at government offices till April 30. Goa CM Pramod Sawant announced that the lockdown will start from Thursday (April 29) 7 pm and will remain in place till Monday (May 3) morning.
Punjab COVID-19 curfew
Punjab bans political crowds, extends night curfew till April 30. Punjab clamps curfew on Sundays till April 30.
Covid-19 lockdown Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu extends COVID-19 lockdown across state till April 30. The Madras High Court on Monday suggested that the government can impose a complete lockdown till May 2, as the Election Commission of India (ECI) is due to count votes for the Assembly election in Tamil Nadu on that day.
curfew in Manipur
Manipur clamps night curfew till April 30. The deputy commissioner of Imphal West district issued an order, directing only one in every three shops, located at 16 important markets under its jurisdictions, to open on rotation.
