The first enthralling picture of Amarnath shiv linga is here. This year's Amarnath pilgrimage yatra will be the first one after the abrogation of Article 370. 

The Amarnath Yatra could not be held in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Even in 2019, the yatra was suspended a few days before August 5, when the Centre abrogated Article 370 and revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, carving out the Union Territory of Ladakh.

The registration for the annual Amarnath Yatra 2022 has begun on Monday. The process of `Yatri` registration for Amarnath Yatra began at the 316 branches of Punjab National Bank on April 11 and will continue till June 30.

Yatris who had registered last year have to give Rs 20 extra for the fee, which was Rs 100 last, while it`s Rs 120 now

The pictures reportedly taken by the devotees who visited the Amarnath shrine in April show mountains and a way around the shrine covered in snow.

The officials, however, have yet not confirmed the vicinity of the claim or whether or not anybody actually visited the shrine this year so far.

The pictures of the holy lingam that went viral on social media show the area surrounding to shrine covered in a thick layer of snow ahead of the commencement of the Amarnath Yatra 2022.

Some devotees have claimed to have visited the Amarnath cave this year. According to the information received, in the first week of April, a group of 8 people went to the cave and had darshan. They say that there is still a lot of snow on roads as well as on mountains.
