Sikkim is the only Indian state without any Railway station or Airport. People planning to travel to Sikkim by train still have to alight at the Siliguri or Jalpaiguri railway stations in West Bengal and then they travel via road to reach Sikkim 

The lack of railway facilities in Sikkim may be due to geographical challenges. The state is situated in the Himalayas, with steep mountainous terrain, deep valleys, and narrow passes. 

Sikkim is located in the northeastern region of India, bordered by Nepal to the west, West Bengal to the south, Bhutan to the southeast and China to the north.

Gangtok is known as the capital city of Sikkim, which covers the southeastern region of this state. 

The iconic places to travel in Sikkim are Tsomgo Lake, Yumthang Valley, Khecheopalri Lake, Tathagata Tsal, Gurudongmar Lake, and Triveni Camping.

The state has gained immense popularity, particularly for its vibrant biodiversity and increasingly, for its tourism potential.

Sikkim boasts raw beauty with diverse landscapes featuring snow-capped mountains, serene waterfalls, lush greenery and stunning monasteries.
