Shikaripura is facing a historic poll. For the first time in 40 years, four-time CM and eight-time MLA B S Yediyurappa is not contesting. His youngest son and BJP leader B Y Vijayendra is the party’s choice. 

Nikhil Kumaraswamy

Former Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy's son, actor-turned-politician Nikhil Kumaraswamy will contest on the JD(S) ticket from Ramanagara.

 

Priyank Kharge 

Congress has re-nominated Priyank Kharge afrom Chittapur assembly seat. In the 2018 Assembly polls, he registered victory from the seat defeating Valmik Naik of the BJP.

HD Kumaraswamy

HD Kumaraswamy or popularly known as "Kumaranna" is the son of the former Prime Minister of India, HD Deve Gowda. The JDS Chief  is fighting from Channapatna seat, the one he also won in 2018.  

Basavaraj Bommai

Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai is the son of former Karnataka chief minister and Janata Parivar veteran late S R Bommai. He began his political journey with the Janata Dal (United) and joined the BJP in 2008. He has won three consecutive elections from Shiggaon.
