As the coronavirus cases continue to rise, several states and UTs have put strict restrictions and imposed night curfew to check the spread of COVID-19.
Some of the states and UTs that have announced night curfew or put semi-lockdown type restrictions are Maharashtra, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Chandigarh, Jharkhand, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh
As per the Union Health Ministry on Wednesday morning, India had registered 1,15,736 new infections, its biggest single-day rise in cases since the COVID-19 outbreak.

COVID-19 restrictions
In Madhya Pradesh, several districts were put in lockdown recently to check the spread of the virus.
The state government on Wednesday also announced to impose night curfew in all urban areas from April 8.
It also decided to operate the government offices for five days every week for the next three months.
COVID-19 lockdown
Amid a surge in coronavirus cases, the Yogi Adityanath-led government in Uttar Pradesh has also announced several restrictions and issued new guidelines to curb the spread of the virus.
Accordingly, a night curfew has been imposed in major cities of Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow, Kanpur and Varanasi with effect from Thursday night.
