Negligence of people will increase risk of coronavirus, says Ministry of Health- In pics

The Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health, Luv Agarwal said that there are 66 districts in the country where the infection level is more than 10 percent. At the same time, 86 districts in the country where 100 cases are coming daily. He said while holding a press conference on the situation of Coronavirus in the country.

 

80% of the cases are being reported in 90 districts. The case is confined to a limited area. He has said that the Center is working with the state to control the corona infection. The recovery rate has increased significantly.

NITI Aayog member VK Paul said that the central government has expressed concern over the pictures of violation of COVID guidelines. 

 

There is open negligence in many places. In the city, market, tourist place, everywhere. The Prime Minister has also expressed concern about the crowd. Overcrowding is a matter of concern. Negligence can increase the outbreak of the virus.

He further said, there should be tourism, life should increase, but carelessness should not be there, otherwise, the outbreak of the coronavirus will increase. He appealed not to create such an atmosphere. 

 

"Till now the environment has not come to behave like this. If we give a chance to the virus in this way, then the exemption that has been given can also be taken away from us," he said.

VK Paul further said that it is the responsibility of the local administration of tourist places to follow the norms of COVID-19. 

 

VK Paul said, Zydus Cadila's vaccine is being examined for children. "we will follow the recommendation, After seeing the data," he said.

Paul said the company had submitted its third phase trial results to the Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) last week.

 

"Zydus Cadila has submitted its phase-3 trial results to the DCGI last week and scientific evidence is being probed and the process of exchange of information is actively going on," he said.

In this trial, Paul said children were also included and "we are hoping that after all this data gets evaluated through a scientific process then recommendations will be followed, and if there is enough evidence to support vaccination by this vaccine for children between 12-18 years then that will also be provided at that time depending upon the robustness of the data and scientific evidence".

 

"We should wait for that process to be over and for a decision to be made by the scientific system in the DCGI," he said.
